the main lobby is very spacious, with high ceilings and a MalayCulture-inspired theme . There's no air-conditioning in the main lobby, but because The Andaman built amongst the forest, the surroundings are always cool and windy, thanks to the many many trees.
And the INSECTS, Holy GAMOLLY they're Jurrasic-size, and number by the gajillionzillions!!! And the LIZARDS there are the size of my PALM!!! I almost had a cardiac arrest when I saw the jurrasic-lizard.
And insects practically dominate the corridors at night, and you have to run into your room and slam the door immediately to avoid letting insects in!!!
I should know, cos I dilly-dallied too long and let in a bee. I had to call housekeeping in to get rid of it wtg.
the pool, which, frankly, is awesome. Not olympic sized, but it's designed so beautifully, it goes around trees and everything, like a little canal, with different dephts too!
The room. This is the most BASIC room. It's gorgeous, but not very big.

I watched Breakfast at Tiffanys!!! Such a timeless classic! I've been wanting to watch it for ages!
I adore the movie. and Audrey Hepburn has such charming elegance, she really is a pleasure to watch.
The bed, which is BIG, and ideal for... ahem.. activities. But the pillows are super soft and provided no neck support whatsoever. And the big red bolster? It's hard as a rock. I suppose it's for decoration only . Or maybe if a couple argue and decide they don't want any activities that night, the bolster should be used in the middle of the bed to separate them both wtf.
The bathroom, which is very pretty, very nice, but just too small.(for a 5-star hotel, i mean)
Their shampoo, body gel, and lotion are contained in these adorable ceramic containers! Not your average plastic bottle!!
But you can't bring the bottles home la wtf.
And everyday, they make your bed and fold the corners down, placing a different type of orchid there each day with a small card explaining the species of orchid.

This place is fecking fantastic, if I do they so myself. I've only been here twice,.this being my 2nd time, and I absolutely LOVE it!!! There's a breakfast buffet here with comfy couches and every kind of beverage you can think of including alcohol. The plasma flat screen is playing MTV, AND there're computers for you to use! With internet connection!! For free.!!!
Oh, and if anybody's wondering, I'm NOT in business class. I only get to be here cos the Dad has an Enrich Gold Crad due to his frequent flying. He collects milleage points, and with that, he can bring us in here by paying with his points.
It's now 8.09 am. My flight's at 9.00 am. Imma gonna soak up more of this fabulous Gold Lounge atmosphere, da bao some food.. Milo packets.. Jam jars wtf. (yes, they have their jam/kaya/honey in little adorable jars, and I've already sneakily slipped 2 jars into my bag pack wtf.)
Ooo, I see ANOTHER lounge right next to the Gold Lounge! Separated by only a glass partition. That's the First Class Lounge. And anybody in there is either insanely rich or completely psychotic. Why else would anyonbe spend 20 to 30 thousand for a flight?

I woke up at 1.30 pm today, and I've never felt better. Somehow, something about travelling just cuases me serious fatigue. What's more, travelling also harms the skin. I've been living out of a suitcase this past few weeks, and am now a strong believer in the good ol' saying " There's no place like home" . No 5-star hotel can compete with home.
I've just started revelling in the peace and tranqulity of home for about 5 mins after waking up this afternoon, then whhadaya know, it's time to be a-packing for Hong Kong. Packing. Again. My life now revolves around packing, travelling, and unpacking.=.=
In all my travelling experience, I've never once managed to fit all my things into the luggage bag and zip it up nicely. (and ironically, I have the largest Samsonite in the family =.= ) BUT BUT!! Miracle of all miracles! I packed ONLY the BARE necessities this time and only took up 3 quarters of the Luggage space!!!! Lord! You've succeeded again!!

In my hotel room, digging my feet in the warm golden sand, feeling the ocean breeze upon my face, loving the sunbeams on my skin, prancing around in a bikin top and shorts (because of the red tide wtf), feasting my eyes on hunky sun-tanned guys, and just being 100% relaxed.
ahhh, bliss.
Or if I'm lucky, I'd maybe get to wheedle a spa treat out of the dad's wallet.

I'm at the Andaman resort! In the business center where I get to use the computer and internet for FREE!!!!!!!!!!!
Andamanis gorgeous! With this BEAUTIFUL white sandy beach that stretches out further than i bother to walk. I swear, the sand is so fine and soft, it's almost like talcum powder! Call me jakun, but i haven't seen a more beautiful beach since.. well... last year, when I came to Langkawi and visited Coral Island.
Has anybody reading this been to Andaman Resort before? Because I'd like to say that the RM750/night rate for the most basic room here that they charge is... well.. TOTALLY ABSURD. AND, it's the off-peak price, which means during the peak season (20th dec onwards), the price will rocket to RM1,500/night for a BASIC ROOM which is roughly the size of my own room back home.
Okay, maybe a LITTLE bit bigger.
with a prettier toilet/bathtub/shower area.
BUT!!!!! they have no phones in the toilet! Nor is their room entirely made of wood!!! And it's not big enough to make me wanna move in for the rest of my life!!! And no complimentary coffee/tea or welcome cookies/chocolates!!
UNLIKE Sheraton Langkawi!!
AND they have no washing butt thingy.. the ones where you just sorta press a button after you shit, and this rod comes extends from in the toilet bowl and shoots water up your A-hole to "clean it".
Not that I use that lah wtf.
And hor!!! Andaman is located right smack in the middle of no-fecking-where!!

WTF RIGHT!!! How the hell does a few scrambled eggs , sausages, BREAD, BUTTER, fruit juice, oatmeal.. yadayadayada add up to RM88??? Fecking daylight robbery hor!!!!
So, needless to say, after receiving this SHOCKING news, wtf, we didn't even bother contemplating whether or not to have dinnet at Andaman. So we took the banged up shitty rental WAJA, and drove to fecking nowhere and got fecking lost, and I almost barfed from motion sickness.
We ended up in front of some hotel called the MUTIARA hotel/resort wtv. 3star resort with a very very pocket-friendly price for their dinner buffet. ONLY RM38++ LE!!!! and pay for 4, free satu orang.!!!! SO WORTH IT!!!!!!
We stopped by a Mesra, that is a convenience store at BP station, and bought tomorrow's breakfast, which costs all of RM10 wtf. A six-pack of Dutch Lady milk and A small packet of Coco Crunch.
5 peoples breakfast from Mesra = RM15++
5 peoples breakfast at Andaman = RM 88x5
= Rm440++
=.=
EVELY-BAH-DEE! Next time you come to Langkawi hor, GO TO SHERATON RESORT!!! SAME PRICE, but with a 999999 times better room. But elek white sandy beach la wtf. got rough sand, polluted, man-made beach, but well, One cannot have all the good things in life kan? PLUS, at Sheratons you get a FREE breakfast buffet and RM100 dinner voucher. Or was it RM200? wtv. ANNNNND, it's near to a row of shops and restaurants, and you don't have to drive around the whole damn Langkawi in search of food.
At Andaman, you get NOTHING. no free breakfast, no NOTHING.
Oh wait, you DO get free internet usage la, and free DVD rental(there's a DVD player in the room) ... and they provide you with a coffee maker.. wtf.
oh my god, now I'm all confused, and I don't know if Sheraton or Andaman is better.
I'd still like Sheraton better though, cos their rooms are newly renovated, and the whole interior of the hotel room is WOOD, gorgeous wood, the room itself is HUGE, the toilet is AWESOME, I feel like living in the toilet wtf. And it's hard to explain, but you can actually watch TV from the bathtub, cos there's a wooden window opening into the main room. wtf understand ka?
Although the price here at Andaman is beyond ridiculous, my family makes a point of dining in the hotel at least for ONE meal. Which means Imma gonna be scarfing down authentic Japanese cuisine/Malaysian-Indian fusion/etcetc tomorrow night . And I'll be writing about it ASAP, before the taste leaves my mouth, and I'll let y'all know if the absurd price was actually worthwhile. If buffet must eat untll bloated and smuggle some food out too, cos like that only worth the money we pay wtf)

PS: ONE MORE THING. The bed in Sheraton uses some 9 layer technology, and it's 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 times more comfortable than the slightly lumpy/soft beds at Andaman.
Pss: Sheraton has a nice spacious balcony padahal Andaman's balcony can only fit one skinny person. Squeeze in 2 people, and 1 of them will fall off and die wtf
PSS: Andaman is in the middle of a forest and there're LEECHES here and all sorts of icky insects. Sheraton has insects too, but at least not leeches. I mean, none that I've seen la wtg.
PSSS: Andaman's pool and beach are better. Sheraton's rooms and food-price and offers are better.
