hmmm... the play was about death and religion , I think. Honestly speaking, I didnt fully understand the whole thing, and I felt shallow and stupid pfft.
Throughout the play, i understood which parts were meant to be sad and which one to be funny and all but I didn't really feel... connected to the whole thing. I was not immersing myself in the play. I felt somehow reluctant to dive in , so I held back and stayed detached. I suppose I'm not an emotional kind of person? But then how to explain the fact that I love to cry? Or Mayb I'm just too shallow to comprehend the play. Anyways...
There were people crying and sniffling..
some of my classmates teared up too.
But sadly, I think I was the only one who was like..
huh???
whaaaat???
All I knew was to laugh at the funny bits ..
Anyways, here's some pictures of the stage and props. There were only 3 actors, and they were very very good. The parts where they acted angry actually scared me.
The three characters in the play are Miguel the doctor, Yati the nurse and Radha the drug addict, ex singer. I shan't talk much about it cos I'm not sure that I understood the play.
with the actress who played Yati. She's provides the most comedy. The comedic parts, I understood well, hence, I like her most wtg.
aiya. my skirt senget. pretend u didnt notice.
The actor and actresses are SO different from those Silver Screen snobs. They actually came out after the play and mingled witht he audience, thanking everyone for coming and answering questions as well. They are just so... normal . Granted, it's a small play and there were only about 50 people in the audience. But still, it's nice to know that they have talent and a good personality to match.
I shall most certainly continue watching more plays . it's affordable (student price RM20) and maybe I'll come to appreciate plays even more.
HOWEVER, I must say I was slightly let down by KLpac. i thought it'd be grand like the KL convention center where I went to watch the Grease play. But then again, that place was filled with rich snooty people and expensive like feck food (RM 7 per coke or something ridiculous like that. I think I blogged about it in my old blog. Can go read if you want) whereas KLpac houses more.. humble people. Friendlier too.=)
Another thing about the place is the mosquites and insects!!! Outdoors, they have a huge lake and a vast expanse of grass and the mosquitoes targetted my bare legs as soon as I stepped outside. I swear, about 20 of them were buzzing around my legs, biting, biting.
annoying mosquitoes.
You know ah, I found out that using good lighting and a webcam can really produce good pictures.
ahh, I like how the overhead study lamp highlights my face structure. Amazing what good lighting can do.
I usually look crappy when I smile revealing my teeth, but here it actually looks okay!
Even when one makes stupid faces...
or angry faces..
or come really close to the camera...
it still turns out alright.!!! AMAZING HOR.
Obviously I dont REALLY look like that, WITHOUT the nice bright lighting that makes my skin look flawless, I look like....
yatuhan. Look, this is how I really look like when I smile showing my teeth.
OH MY GOD. please donate to my nosejob fund, kerjasama anda didahului dengan ribuan terima kasih, amen.
I like the solarise effect. Very gloomy yet pretty in a way. I like the way the colours look like.. the sun is dying out. I don't know what makes me think that way.
I particularly like this one, taken on the way home, because I think I look like a broke doll. harhar. note how I'm holding the Good People booklet, I think I was acting out the "feel" of the play - a broken doll.
I tak tau I sedang merepek apa.
wah, this post is so vain.
ok, The End.

ps: I saww youuu, Sherlyn! teehee.
pss: I found a new way of applying eye make-up by combining light green, olive green, and gold eyeliner (available from Silky Girl) . Also black eyeliner near the lashline. And mascara. FYI, in all the pics , I wear only eye make-up, hence the cacat skin in the last pic.
can't really see that well. wait...
I likey.. I think it bodes especially well with green contacts! =)
my god. kulitku kelihatan cacat.
byebye This post took me about half an hour to write. my god, how time flies. BYEBYEBYEBYE.
I practically spent my whole Saturday in Pyramid today. First to skate, with Jack to accompany me, then home, then out again with the family to watch IronMan. Again. (first time was with Jack)
I shall not dwelve on IronMan too much, cos everyone's talking about it already anyways. What I can say is .... I am so in love with that sex on wheels of an Audi car in the movie.
And Tony Sparks wears a Bvlgari watch.
And Pepper Potts uses Estee Lauder compact powder to help Tony Sparks make-up towards the end of the show.
and....
omg this is gonna tarnish my name forever, but..
ok , nvm, forget it. I don't wanna tell the whole world what I did today. It's too gross. Maybe some other day.
HAHHAA imagine if we call IronMan FerumMan. Totally spoils the whole thing. (Iron=Ferum, Fe2+ wah wah intellectual. hahaha)
More pics to post up , but I think i'll use it in other posts and only put up ma few here.
Oh damn, one whole Saturday down the drain. There goes my time-table.
SO I'll just end with these...
My god. I must revive the JiaweiC nosejob fund.
Had a quick bite at delifrance.
please donate to my nosejub fund thank you.
so that you never get pepper and salt mixed up. Notice that it joins together to spell PS, which makes me wanna say this : why are there so many people going around saying PS/I love you just cos the movie came out or they read the book?? I mean,no offence, but it kinda irritates me. heh. But then again, many things do.
donate. JiaweiC nosejob fund. Your money will save my vanity .=.=
note: Delifrance now sells these little munchies like mini fruit tarts and such, 10 for RM9.90 and comes with coffee or tea. If you ever buy those, get more of the fruit ones! especially the ones with the black/blueberry jam and strawberry slices on top. It's HEAVENLY.
muco love,
jwC
PS: oooh, looking forward to watching the play "Good People" at the KLpac tomorrow ( i dunno how it's spelled) with my whole literature class. Class trip.! Fun!!! I love that we actually HAVE to watch plays to learn literature. So much fun. But mind you, it's plenty of hard work as well. I used to think it was a piece of cake. I was wrong. SO totally different from what we did in Secondary School. pfft.
PS2:YOU KNOW WHAT! another thing I have to say. Why is that MOST people, after coming to college, refer to sec school as HIGH SCHOOL? I mean, it's ok to do that, but some make it seem like they're reluctant to say SECONDARY SCHOOL. why ah? very degrading meh? god.
wah why is this PS section so long. the OTHER thing I want to say is... hahaha. I was asking my mom what PS stands for, and she said "Please See" so I asked what PSS stands for, and my smart aleck brother said : it means PLEASE SEE, STUPID.HAHAHAHHAHA!!!
oooh, ok, my final ps. look at the tagboard. SOmeone said I look like Marie Digby??? hahahha. I don't know if it's a compliment or not or if it's a prank, but it's quite funny.
oh, okok, LAST LAST ONE. My brother got a distinction for his theory Grade 3! Congratulations!!!
the rest of the family are currently downstairs watching AH LONG PTE LTD, which I think is a damn stupid show.
ok, finally,
THE END.
edit: I forgot to say.. I saw this bunch of Koreans walking around in crisp white uniforms. My dad says they're Marines, but I'm not too sure about that cos there were girls too, looking very sexy in their cute uniforms. aarghh..and they were all very young. There's just.. SOMETHING about guys/girls in smart uniforms, huh? something... sexaaayy. I likey...teehee.
ooolala..
anyways, what're marines doing in a shopping mall!!!

Please click the link below and take a few minutes to sympathise and pray for them. What happened to those children was undoubtedly cruel. We may not be able to extend financial aid due to us being students and all but we CAN take a moment to be grateful for our lives and at the same time, PRAY for those whose lifes were taken during the earth quake, all those school children, and also let our thoughts be with those who are suffering the aftermath of the quake.
This blog will be left to rot and collect dust while I slave and pore over my books in a race against time to gorge down all relevant materials for this upcoming Semester Exam - in exactly 3 weeks 6 days. No matter how I do and redo my timetable, there is simply NO TIME to waste and I simply HAVE to study everyday or risk getting a dreaded B or C.
Will update maybe twice a week instead of my usual everyday post. =)
After a super relaxing , ultra stress-releasing hour and a half massage today, I came home at 6.30 and slept like a log.. all the way till almost 10 pm. Didn't have my dinner till 10 pm but what the heck, the healing sleep was so worth missing dinner for.
It was the most fantabulously deep sleep I've had in a long, long , long time. SO GOOD. My neck and shoulders are not that tightly knotted anymore, I feel so much,... freer. ahhh... massages... the essence of a good life wtg. I swear, after the massage, my face was all glowy. Strictly no BS.
I have no words to explain just what kind of wonders and miracles a good massage can do for you. Sure, it hurts at times, but it's all SOSOSOSOOSOS worth it. I LOVE IT. I reckon it's even better than facials. I almost fell asleep today, with my face jammed in that toilet-hole-like thingy when the masseuse was kneading my knotted neck and tensed shoulders. It felt SO GOOD hAM MALI HAM!!!! and I just love the smell of all those aroma therapy oils that just waft over and greet me like a warm embrace every time I step into the massage place. Ahhh... bliss...
I've already booked my next session and signed a package. HAMMALIMALI!!!!! Imma gonna have a massage every week! haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarharharh. SO don't ask me to do anything on Wednesday's y'all! I'm not free , gotta stick my face in the toilet-hole and enjoy a nice long session of kneading tensed muscles.
It was the dot (Ying Xian)'s seventeenth Birthday yesterday. The CAL student council planned a surprise birthday party for her. She went out for dinner with her family (her parents were in cahorts with us) and we all gathered at her house, awaiting her return.
The lights were all turned off, Kubhie and Bryan wore ski masks and held a great big black bin liner to throw over her head when she stepped in the door, as the plan was to "kidnap" her. I, for one, was super sure she'd have a heart failure, cos I know I would if that happened to me.
they kept asking me to make sure not to laugh when the kidnapping takes place wtf. I had to endure all sorts of threats to shaddup my face. I was so damn excited, eagerly awaiting her return and for the kidnapping to take place that I felt a very urgent need to pee and giggle. I love the adrenaline rush that comes from this!
The dot's card. Everybody signed their names on a character. I signed on two, cos I liked both and couldn't decide which to choose so i chose BOTH! ha!
So, the kidnapping didn't work out as planned, cos the dot switched on the lights and actually recognised her kidnappers. (note to Khubie. do not wear same pair of pants too often. The dot recognised your pants. )
A genius named Raevin suggested that Kubhie should've took of his pants wtf. Or go naked and blend into the dark.
Upon recognising her kidnappers, she grabbed ahold of the bin liner, i do not know why, and sank to the floor, like so (pic above and below). She looks like she's about to have a cardiac arrest.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DOT!
Still clinging to that bin liner.
shocked and confused, bin liner still in hand.
shocked, confused, and happy? (STILL clinging to bin liner)
me, excitedly showing her both my characters.
still in shock. too happy. wtf yet to let go of bin liner.
STILL in shock. I think she would've held that black plastic bag forever if I didn't pry it out of her hands.
me:" why u holding the bin liner?"
The Dot: " I dunno! HAHAHAHAHA."
Only recovered from shock 10 minutes later. haha.

Okay, i gtg do my mountainous pile of homework now. And I hve to get biggified versions of these pics cos they're too damn small.
more soon!

ps: WTG I'm experiencing the most AWFUL tensed shoulders in the history of mankind. And thank you, coach, for your off-ice jumping session. It seems my thigh muscles got a good work-out and I now walk with wobbly knees and aching thighs. Aching all over. Somebody bring me a masseuse please.
Oh my god, the word seems so foreign to me I'm not even sure it's spelled right. Pay-cheque...
Paycheque?
Pay Cheque??
I remember begging my parents to let me work during the holidays, ever since I was 15, and how they always firmly refused to let me work because they know it'l be "too trying" for me and that I'll most prolly quit after 2 hrs of clearing plates and being forced to be polite to everybody that walks in. Then they'd have to drive all the way over and pick me up.
Or they just don't want their precious daughter to have to exert any sort of effort because it's best to enjoy my childhood, with no torturous memories of cleaning tables or serving stupid rude people to taunt and haunt me till I grow old. wtg. I don't clear my own table and I most certainly won't clear someone else's table for a meagre RM5 per hour. Nor will I entertain anybody that makes me get pepper, chili, spoons, forks and tomato sauce in separate trips. I'd grind the fella's face in his food and hurl the bottles at them.
I just cannot take being ordered and bossed around and having to tolerate BS from idiotic, rude, wannabe-millionaires. But don't get me wrong. I KNOW I'll have to endure shit like this in future when I start to really work, as in get a job. So I'd rather avoid it while I still can.
Which is why I now realise that it's a good thing I was never allowed to work, cos I know now for sure that I'd hate it. The thought of working has long since been erased from my mind. I'd rather study, get scholarships and use the cash for my own personal benefit. harhar.
BUT, now, I've found a way to earn moolah without breaking a sweat. No long hours, no bosses, virtually no work at all! all I do is sit in my computer chair in my lovely air-conditioned room in front of my sleek sexy thing, and type on the pretty keypad, talking about my everyday life, the things I like.. etc. All I do is write, which I love, and voila! moolah comes flowing in! Admittedly , the cash is somewhat meagre, but hey, at least I can proudly say that
"I EARNED THIS MYSELF."
and now my parents can't say their favourite phrase, the one they use whenever I ask for luxury goods.
"YOU CAN'T EVEN EARN A SINGLE CENT."
because it has been proven that I CAN. In fact, I've earned exactly 5521 cents. kebanggaan yang teramat!! (HA! I just had to put in in cents cos the figure seems more impressive that way.) First thing I did when my mom presented me with the cheque (she checks all the mail) was to shove it in her face and proudly proclaim that she can never ever say I can't earn a single cent ever again. Did the same to my dad.
my money.
MY money.
MY MONEY!!!
yumm, I love saying that. Granted, it's not much, almost measly, but it's mine.
MiNE.
MINNEE. ahh, lovely.
and this, friends, is my very first self-earned money. scholarships and other result related awards excluded. my first INCOME.
These are the most exquisite food-art I've ever seen, and it truly takes a measure of talent and concentration to come up with this. The details are so fine, and the little babies really look life-like.
The woman who created these is a true talent. She made these using marzipan. Marzipan is an almond paste, made of ground almonds, egg and sugar, normally used as cake icing. From the above picture, you can tell just how tiny these babies are and how much detail she put in. truly fantastic.
little dicky-doos too! teehee. SO cute.
a boy... haha.
just imagine how tiny these marzipan babies are..
ahh, this one's a girl.. ;)
and finally, the one i find most life-like..
.

.
thi9s gorgeous baby, with thin wisps of hair and the most angelic expression.. =)
enjoy! =) and I bet none of you even wanna THINK of eating these beautiful creations.
